Andre Wells is a writer/director based in New York, NY. He fell in love with movies after a chance encounter with the DVD section of the Boston Public Library, where he absorbed the lessons of Old Hollywood, the French New Wave, silent cinema, and a whole lot more. He got his start in the industry by moving to New York and asking student filmmakers if he could join their crews; from there he eventually worked his way onto productions from directors like Martin Scorsese and Derek Cianfrance. Today he directs projects aimed at creating emotional spaces where the viewer can better understand the world around them, as well as themselves.
